Our company’s desire is to not only provide our clients with western scientific expertise and analytical skills for proposed projects but also to ensure traditional First Nation knowledge is included in the project assessment, fieldwork and mitigation. Nu Nennè-Stantec Inc’s desire is based on the premise that First Nation people are the chosen stewards of the natural environment and that their perspective on impact assessment and reclamation are integral to maintaining harmony within their traditional territory.
Nu Nennè-Stantec Inc. operates as a community based local business and encourages integrated cross-cultural participation through education, training and consultation. We support capacity building through environmental work experience and employment to members of Cold Lake First Nations. Local community capabilities and local expertise are enhanced with education, training, skill development, and work experience that support oil and gas developments. By providing input into proposed developments on traditional lands, we facilitate sustainable operations for our clients.
